Paris in black and white

I've admired  Valerie Jardin's  black and white photos of Paris, so decided to convert a few of my street photos into black and white.  The rainy day photos seemed appropriate -- what do  you think?

In the photo left, I brought out the color of the pigeon because I liked it!  I think I was as startled as the bird when I snapped the photo, was happy to see what I got!

  1. I agree with you and think the black and white adds to the rainy day shots. I think the man whose face we don't see and the pigeon is the most interesting. The lone gentleman sitting at cafe table just out of the rain, though, is a classic Euro moment well captured. The woman carrying the umbrella is also a favorite. Nice!

  2. I agree with Linda, the gentleman at the cafe is classic...and I love it in black and white. I'm also drawn to the man under the umbrella. Love that you're experimenting with these.

  3. Thanks Linda & Carol for your comments. This is quite a change for me -- both the street photography and the B&W. I appreciate your comments!
