A bit of bamboo.

I keep returning to the San Diego Botanic Garden (Quail Gardens) to photograph the bamboo.  This was from my last visit there.

More succulents

Blue Agave -- not in my garden (yet)

The succulent in the photo above is from my garden, and so far has survived the cold night temps here, the Blue Agave was  taken at the San Diego Botanic Garden (Encinitas).  

I have 3 of the paddle plant  succulents in my yard.  One is planted in the ground and just beginning to flower -- I'm not sure how it'll survive the frosty mornings we've experienced lately.   The other two are in pots & I've been bringing them in under the patio for protection.  Their colors seem more intense since we've had such cold nights.  I do like to photograph them!

Christmas Cactus

I received a beautiful Christmas Cactus as a Christmas gift.  This morning I got out my tripod and camera and photographed a few of the flowers -- always a favorite activity for me.

Bird day today

Curlews, egrets, coots, and of course, the always-present seagull!

Just hanging out ...

Grandson Shane and I were hanging out together at Mission Bay Yacht Club with our cameras.  He set up the first shot -- wanted to  photograph me photographing him at the exact same time (he even counted down).   Here he is!

We explored crab beach, turning over rocks and finding lots of small crabs.

This one was one of the largest!   No crab dinner for us tonight.   LOL

We had a great afternoon exploring.
